ТГУ и Таджикистан будут вместе развивать образование и цифровые решения

A delegation headed by Zarina Ismoilzoda, Consul General of the Republic of Tajikistan in Novosibirsk, visited Tomsk State University. During a meeting dedicated to strengthening partnerships, participants discussed future cooperation in education and student training. Particular attention was given to introducing modern digital tools for learning and testing Russian as a foreign language (RFL).

The two sides outlined joint steps to promote technological solutions that will make learning and knowledge assessment more accessible and effective.

Mikhail Shepel, TSU Vice-Rector for Continuing Education Development, presented an overview of university life and its main areas of activity.

— Today, international cooperation is part of the work of virtually every faculty and institute at TSU, — Mikhail Shepel noted. — Our colleagues are interested in developing active cooperation with universities in Tajikistan. The meeting between the leaders of our countries calls for intensified cultural, scientific, and labor cooperation. We discussed not only our educational initiatives but also how we contribute to the implementation of several interstate projects as part of our international activities.

Special attention is currently being paid to promoting the Russian language in partner countries, particularly Tajikistan. TSU has developed an integrated digital environment for Russian-language learning and testing. The university is one of ten Russian universities authorized to issue Russian-language proficiency certificates at various levels.

In addition, the university has developed the adaptive Russian-language learning platform Na Russkom, available in 16 languages. It is free to use, employs artificial intelligence, and adapts to each user's proficiency level. The platform is included in the Russian Federation's register of key platform solutions for promoting the Russian language.
The Consul General of the Republic of Tajikistan, Zarina Ismoilzoda, noted that relations between Tajikistan and the Russian Federation have traditionally been characterized by strategic partnership and alliance. Education, science, and the training of highly qualified specialists occupy a particularly important place in this cooperation.

— I consider TSU one of the best educational institutions in Russia. Russian universities have played an important role in training professionals for Tajikistan for many years. We believe that Russian education provides the foundation for developing outstanding specialists. Thank you very much for supporting our students and providing them with what we consider the best education in the world. We welcome your proposals and look forward to further cooperation, — Zarina Ismoilzoda said.

Following the discussion, the delegation met with students from Tajikistan currently studying at Tomsk State University.

Currently, 121 students from Tajikistan are enrolled at TSU. The university is actively expanding international cooperation with Central Asian countries. Its key initiatives include joint educational programs with partners in Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
